- Time
- Fractions
- Decimals
- Percentages
- Ratios
- Rounding
- Algorithm operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
Exam Preparation:
This will be offered as individual or group tutoring sessions for students interested in building their exam skills. Topics will include:
- Exam strategies:
- Methods of approaching the exam
- Strategies to complete the paper
- Approaches to multiple choice questions
- What to do during reading time
- Tips if you have spare time at the end of your exam
- Practice problem solving
- Worded questions
- How to approach a challenging problem
- Methods to break down and understand the question
- Strategies to convert worded problems into visual representations
- Revise curriculum content:
- Refresh knowledge of chosen topics from the year
- Cover a conceptual foundation (to avoid rote learning maths)
- Upskill on topics that students have gaps in
General Notes:
If a student cannot make a tutoring session or workshop, 24 hours notice is required and a makeup session can be booked. Any cancellations or non-attendance with less than 24 hour notice will still be charged the full tutoring fee. Please provide any work the student would like to work on 24 hours prior to lesson start time, to ensure I have time to look over the content. Any documents provided after this time may not be viewed before the lesson starts.
